Visitors must apply for a Bhutan visa online through the official portal. You’ll need:

  • A passport valid for 6 months beyond your exit date from Bhutan
  • A formal passport photo (recent, with a white background)
  • Arrival and departure dates
  • USD 40 one off visa fees and USD 100 per person/night halt Sustainable Development Fee (SDF)

To apply for your visa, follow these simple steps:

  • Sign the Pledge of Friendship, committing to preserve Bhutan’s heritage.
  • Create an account on the portal.
  • Add your travel details.
  • Complete the payment for your visa and SDF.
  • You can save your application anytime and return later to complete it. Once submitted, it will be reviewed within five working days.

Flights to Bhutan

Bhutan is serviced by two airlines: Drukair and Bhutan Airlines. Due to limited flights, we recommend early bookings. You can book directly online, but we can assist with your flight bookings for a 4% booking fee.

  • Cancellations Within 60 Days of Arrival: Regrettably, no refunds can be issued.
  • SDF Fees: Always refundable for trips that are shortened or canceled at the last moment.
  • Flight Cancellations: Refunds will be processed according to the airline’s policy.
