The Soi Yaksa Trek typically ascends to heights of up to 4,500 meters (14,764 feet) above sea level. The Pass, located at an elevation of 4,500 meters, is reached after a gradual ascent from the trek’s starting point of approximately 2800m above sea level coupled with other high-altitude locations, such as the 4,200-meter-high Jangothang Pass (13,779 feet)
The best time to head out to Yaksa is from September to November and from March to May. Although prior trekking experience is not required, the Soi Yaksa Trek is regarded as a moderately difficult hike that needs a decent degree of fitness. It’s necessary to fully acclimatize and to be in good physical shape before attempting the trek because hiking at high elevations can be difficult and cause altitude sickness.
