Rising over 7000 meters, Jomolhari is a prominent destination for trekkers and alpine adventurers. The communities along its routes are known for their deep connection to the land and their sustainable way of life. They celebrate a rich culture and diverse wildlife that inhabits the region, including the elusive snow leopard. The festival highlights this unique heritage with a snow leopard-themed song, traditional archery and darts contests, dances, yak rides, highland delicacies, and a fair showcasing local products. The festival typically takes place in mid-October.
