As a Bhutanese girl who has spent her life immersed in the traditions and culture of my country, I’ve come to realize that Bhutan offers far more than what most travelers read in guidebooks. Beyond the famous monasteries and festivals, there are experiences that truly define what it means to explore Bhutan like a local. Whether it’s the way we cherish a simple home-cooked meal, the joy of a traditional game of archery, or the hidden trails that lead to breathtaking surprises, Bhutan is full of extraordinary moments waiting to be discovered. Here are 10 unmissable experiences in Bhutan that go beyond the usual tourist spots and offer a deeper connection to the heart of this unique kingdom.

1. Experience a Traditional Hot Stone Bath
