The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, His Royal Highness Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived yesterday for two days visit in Bhutan.
They were received at Paro airport by Her Royal Highness Princess Chimi Yangzom Wangchuk. They were also greeted by the students from various school along the Paro- Thimhu Highway.
After reaching Thimphu, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were welcomed with a Chipdrel traditional ceremonial procession at Tashichhodzong where they received an audience with His Majesty the King and the Gyaltsuen.
Followed by the welcome ceremonial, their Royal Highness then visited Changlimthang and participated in a game of archery using our traditional bows and a game of Khuru.
Their Royal Highness interacted and mingled with the students who had gathered to see them at Changlimithang. They ended their day with a special private dinner which was hosted by His Majesty the King and the Gyaltsuen at the Linkhana Palance.
Today their Royal Highness hiked up to Taksang. Slow and steady upward towards the Tiger’s nest. What a beautiful day to end up with a Taksang Hike. It is indeed a short but memorial trip here in our beautiful kingdom.
